Last updated: 13 October 2026. These terms apply across groteins.com and every product Groteins offers, now and in the future.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of groteins.com and every product, tool, or service offered under the Groteins name (each, a "Product," collectively, the "Products"). By visiting our website, creating an access code, or using any Product, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our Products.
Groteins is a sole proprietorship based in Sasaram, Bihar, India, registered under Udyam (UDYAM-BR-28-0016130). We're a small, focused team building a growing set of software products in the health and nutrition space. Today these are the Diet Plan Generator, the Workout Plan Generator, the Vrat & Ramzan Diet Plan, and free tools (the Indian Food Calorie Calculator, Vrat & Ramzan Food Calories, Protein Calculator, BMI & Body Fat Calculator and Packaged Food Label Check). These Terms are written to cover our Products as a whole, so that as we launch new ones, the same baseline rules apply automatically, we'll only add a separate addendum where a specific Product genuinely needs one.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an access code or make a purchase. Professionals (such as coaches, gyms, or clinics) may use our Products on behalf of their own clients, provided the professional has the client's consent and takes responsibility for that use.
The Diet Plan Generator makes plans for adults (18+) only, including when a professional uses it for a client. Some other Products may allow use for a minor client; where they do, the Product says so, and the professional must first have the verifiable consent of the child's parent or lawful guardian.
Many Products are accessed using a code or credential tied to your email address, which controls how many uses or how much time you have. You are responsible for keeping this confidential, anyone who has it can use the access linked to it, and Groteins is not liable for use resulting from a code you shared, lost, or failed to protect. Specific quotas, validity periods, and pricing for a given Product are shown at the point of purchase and in our Pricing page. At the time of this update they are:
Validity starts on the day of payment. Buying the same Professional plan again with the same email adds the new plans to your existing code. Each product has its own code; a code from one product does not work on another.
Several of our Products generate output based on details you submit. Your goals, preferences, health information, or other inputs. That output is only as good as the information behind it. You're responsible for providing accurate and complete information, and Groteins cannot verify what you submit. An incomplete or inaccurate submission may result in output that isn't suitable for you.
This is important: our health- and nutrition-related Products (including but not limited to the Diet Plan Generator) are software tools, not a substitute for professional medical, dietetic, or fitness advice. Any output is generated automatically based on the information you provide and general guidelines, and is not reviewed by a doctor, dietitian, or other qualified professional before being delivered to you. If you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have any health concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional before acting on any recommendation from our Products. Groteins is not liable for any outcome resulting from use of our Products without appropriate professional guidance.
Our Products never prescribe, recommend, or change any medicine or supplement, and they do not diagnose, treat, or cure any disease. Keep following your doctor's advice about your treatment, and do not stop or change any medicine because of something a Product produced.
For your safety, some Products will not produce output in situations where Indian government guidelines give no standard the software can safely follow, or where the plan depends on medical reports the software can't see. For the Diet Plan Generator, these are:
For the Vrat & Ramzan Diet Plan, no fasting plan is made for anyone with kidney disease, because whether they can fast, and what they should eat, depends on their latest kidney report. No fasting plan is made either during pregnancy together with diabetes, with poorly controlled diabetes, after low blood sugar episodes in the last month, or while unwell or recovering from illness or surgery. With some other conditions (for example pregnancy, breastfeeding, diabetes on insulin or sulfonylureas, heart or liver disease) a plan is made only if you confirm your doctor has said you can fast.
In these cases no plan is made and your access code is not used. See section 8 for your refund options.
Paid features are processed through a licensed third-party payment processor. Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise, and are inclusive of any applicable charges unless stated otherwise at checkout. Groteins does not store your card, UPI, or banking details, this is handled entirely by our payment processor. After a successful payment, your access code is sent to the email address you entered at checkout.
Most of what we sell is generated specifically for you. Here is exactly when you can get your money back (full details and examples are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy):
Refunds go back to the account or method you paid with, through our payment processor (Cashfree Payments). We email you when a refund starts. The time it takes to show in your account depends on your bank or payment provider. We do not charge any fee for a refund.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. For any refund question or complaint, write to hello@groteins.com or to our Grievance Officer (see our Privacy Policy, section 14).
When using our Products, you agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access for any account or code involved in misuse.
All Groteins branding, website content, product design, and underlying software are the property of Groteins unless otherwise stated. Output generated specifically for you (such as a personalized plan) is yours to use for your own personal or professional purposes, but you may not claim ownership of the underlying tool, template, or methodology used to produce it.
Our Products rely on trusted third-party services to operate, including Cashfree Payments (payments and refunds), Google (hosting, storage, and email), Zoho (email delivery), and Open Food Facts (product lookup when you scan a barcode in Label Check). We are not responsible for outages, errors, or issues caused by these third parties, though we'll make reasonable efforts to work around them where possible.
We're a small, growing company, and our Products (including features, pricing, and availability) may change, be added, be modified, or be discontinued over time. We'll make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability of any Product.
Our Products are provided "as is" and "as available." While we make reasonable efforts to keep them accurate, reliable, and available, we don't guarantee that any Product will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose beyond what's described at the point of use.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Groteins' total liability for any claim arising from your use of a Product is limited to the amount you paid for that specific Product in the transaction giving rise to the claim. Groteins is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our Products.
You agree to indemnify and hold Groteins harmless from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your misuse of a Product, your violation of these Terms, or information you submit that you don't have the right to share.
We may suspend or terminate your access to any Product at our discretion if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, without prejudice to any rights or remedies we may have.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Products will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Rohtas district, Bihar.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any Product-specific terms we publish, constitute the entire agreement between you and Groteins regarding your use of our Products.
As Groteins grows and adds new Products, these Terms may be updated to reflect them. Continued use of our Products after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We'll revise the "last updated" date above whenever that happens.
